home:body
Home:Body is a two-part dance solo exploring the journey of returning home to the self after years of dissociation and escape. Part one, grounded in a transformative Reiki experience, maps the body’s response to trauma and traces the patterns of disconnection—movements shaped by survival, silence, and fragmentation—to reveal how energy holds memory. The choreography gives form to the invisible patterns that shape a life lived at a distance from self. Part two, currently in progress, begins to reimagine embodiment, reaching toward integration, presence, and the quiet power of coming home by tuning into the natural world as a source of healing and reconnection. Inspired by time spent in forests, by streams, and under open skies, this section explores the body's gradual return to presence. Through grounded movement and breath, it traces a path toward wholeness and regulation, where coming home to the self feels not only possible but inevitable.
