denzelworldpeace
enzelworldpeace (whose full name is Denzel Kyle Crockett) is a music producer, DJ, sample creator, sound designer, and graphic designer. Starting out with music production at the tender age of 14, he has always had an affinity for music and has been in the game for about 15 years. With influence drawn from sample beats of artists like Kanye West, Madlib, and Kid Cudi, denzelworldpeace has always dreamed of making beats for other artists. He credits a lot of what he does to artists like Daft Punk and Justice, who gave him a glimpse into his own vision, introducing him to electronic music and the software that he uses. One of his current productions that you can check out and give a listen to include ‘E.A.T’ (a couple of years old) featuring Korean indie artist Omega Sapien (of Balming Tiger) and Thai hip-hop artist Milli. The track started from denzelworldpeace sampling a Japanese children’s record. This placement meant a lot to him as Omega Sapien is his favorite Korean rapper. Another one of his must-listen tracks is ‘Love Arcade’ by Red Velvet (a few months old) which started in his apartment and finished after a grueling session in a mansion in Palm Springs. Red Velvet was a goal of his to produce for and so was Lil Cherry. More on his placements later. Having gained traction in his music by self-releasing music on SoundCloud since the mid-2010s and since transitioning to other outlets such as Spotify, he has been on a venture to level up his music career full-time. Having been described as ‘walking creativity’, denzelworldpeace is a multi-talented and multi-medium creative who has used his creations to express himself. In 2022, he cut his teeth working flying out to LA to work on K-pop, which was inspired by SOPHIE, his muse which he also has a tattoo of Red Velvet was a goal of his to produce for and so was Lil Cherry. He has also worked on placements for other K-pop and K-hip-hop artists such as aespa, ITZY, Agust D (Suga of BTS), and NCT 127. “I actually do love K-pop. It’s fresh music and my approach is to take a song I like and make it appeal to what I know about the Korean market. I don’t really take advice from the label and I think it works out for me.” – denzelworldpeace denzelworldpeace doesn’t make a distinction between Western music and K-pop. He uses the same approach as he does for pop music to create a sound that is still unique to him. Whilst he is not restricted to the Korean or American musical sound in particular, listening to denzelworldpeace’s music will give you a refreshing sense of a fusion sound with a profound layer of musicality. He is definitely an artist for whom you should keep an ear out. Getting advice from Ryan Kim (the owner of Devine Channel), introduced to him by his good friend Aris of sakehands (known for hits like ‘PLASTIC’ and ‘GOODBYE FOREVER’ on the Majestic Casual YouTube channel), he gained the courage to pursue placements in South Korea. Note: a music placement is when your music is used in a film, show, or other project. As mentioned before, his first placements were with Omega Sapien and Milli under the label Devine Channel. Following up, he got another placement in the form of ‘SHALALA’ by Tae Yong (of NCT) under SM Entertainment. As he was really into Timbaland at the time, the song initially started out as a Jay-Z remix You can get denzelworldpeace’s merch at the link and support/follow him on the following platforms: denzelworldpeace’s SoundCloud | denzelworldpeace’s Spotify | denzelworldpeace on all social media.
