Radical accountability Radical honesty. Sprouting from seeds buried in the industrial calamity that is the modern age rust belt - Detritvs clings to the old anarchist/punk ideals of community not just in words, but actions. Coming from varied underground harsh electronics, synthpop and black metal projects, the idea is always the same: unflinching openness about the reality seen, experienced, and overcome. Familiar sounds with unfamiliar honesty - eschewing the standard tropes of the emo rap genre, the emphasis is instead on detail oriented lyrics about experiences: both good and bad. Songs about heavy mistakes made in toxic relationships share space with songs about being raped as a child. The point is not for fame, or a "woe-is-me my life is awful" mentality, but finding a way to overcome, to not give in to the demons that take far too many of those around us. THERE IS NO SATISFACTION WITHOUT ACTION
