large painting

I love to make big paintings with an initial idea in mind, images that I think work together. I paint mostly outside with oil paint. I gradually assemble the paintings with multiple images until they feel complete. The paintings invariably go through multiple stages of anticipation, despair, rebuilding and most of the time excitement about the final product.
